LPHS appellate partner and constitutional law attorney David Coale answers the question: Is this process constitutional? “There are two sentences in our Constitution that speak to this question, whether you can impeach the president after he has left office. Neither is directly on point to it, and they are not very consistent, and it’s sort of left open in the drafting of the Constitution.”
